Sandia Peak - Albuquerque
Sandia Peak provides a higly visible backdrop to Albuquerque, NM and is visible from many roads into Albuquerque. There is a tram with large cars that go up and come back about every 30 minutes. I chose a day to go up when there were enough clouds to suggests an interesting sunset, and skipped lunch so I would have an excuse to have dinner at the top.

There was more snow nearer the top and it was much colder. It was about 84 degrees fahrenheit at the bottom and about 34 degrees at the top. However, the wind was blowing and that made it feel even colder. The jackets we brought up with us helped, but it was still COLD! If you go take a jacket. You won't look stupid at the top.
