Pathfinder Reservoir, Independence Rock, and Alcova Lake - WY
We went to visit friends in Casper, WY. We camped with them at Alcova Lake, southwest of Casper. One day they took us to Pathfinder Reservoir, which eventually feeds into Alcova lake via Fremont Canyon. The Reservoir was overflowing it banks, resulting in a spectacular waterfall. From there we went to Independence Rock, a significant historical landmark of early settlers and wagon trains. The next day they gave us a tour of the lake on their boat. That tour included going up Fremont Canyon to the headwaters. It was a great trip.
