Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Guadalupe Mountains National Park is in northwest Texas near the border with New Mexico. It is primarily a hiking destination. We did not see as much wildlife as in other parks. We did see birds, lizards, and deer. We also saw the prints and scat of other animals, so we know there is more wildlife in the park.

The Smith Spring Trail. Trails in forests are often wide and inviting. Desert trails tend to be narrow. While many trails serve both people and animals, some trails look like they originated as animal trails. That is probably true for many trails that go by resources such as water and plant concentrations.
