Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Guadalupe Mountains National Park is in northwest Texas near the border with New Mexico. It is primarily a hiking destination. We did not see as much wildlife as in other parks. We did see birds, lizards, and deer. We also saw the prints and scat of other animals, so we know there is more wildlife in the park.

Even the desert has beautiful wildflowers and often a massive display in the Spring. We were too early for that display, but I was able to find several wildflowers. This is Narrowleaf Stoneseed.
