Fontainebleau State Park is on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville, Louisiana. There are several things to do around Mandeville and it connects directly to New Orleans via the toll bridge that crosses Lake Pontchartrain from north to south. Many folks commute daily each way. The whole area, including the bridge and New Orleans, is worth experiencing. We were looking for warmer weather and visited Fontainebleau State Park in January.
