Custer State Park in South Dakota is a large and beautiful park. There is an entrance fee per vehicle good for several days. While it is often a side trip for folks going to other attactions in the area it certainly deserves destination status. It has diverse wildlife, plants, geology and history. If you are ever in the area set aside at least a day to see the park.
