Bardstown KY Bourbon Trail
Photos from two of the bourbon distilleries on the Bourbon Trail, Willett and Maker's Mark. There is lots to do in Bardstown, KY, including local eateries, modest museums, a state park in the center of town, and lots of distilleries within a short drive. There is also a dinner train that serves lunch and dinner on certain days. Reservations are recommended. The train winds along a path that goes by several distilleries, a national forest, historic landmarks, and across the only surviving wooden trellis from the Civil War.

Dale Chihuly glass
One of four panels in the ceiling of a rickhouse at the end of the Maker's Mark tour. It leads to the gift shop. The display really is beautiful and you should not rush past this. Getting to see this is worth the tour. Chilhuly also did the famous ceiling in the Bellagio, Las Vegas. I was impressed with the significant investment in art this display represented. The contrast with the rough and plain architecture of the rickhouse was perfect. Obviously Maker's Mark makes enough money to be able to commission Chihuly.
